In October, Huawei officially launched its own Navigation and Maps service app, the Petal Maps App. Now we have the opportunity to download these Petal Maps from the Huawei App Gallery.
However, this is still in the Beta version and you need to register for it. But if you have Huawei P40, Mate 30, or Mate 40 Devices, no registration is required. But you need to have EMUI 11 on your device.
Huawei Petal Maps allows us to get maps of over 140 countries. It allows you to view your current location, browse the map, locate and add locations, as well as get information about real-time traffic conditions.
PETAL MAPS FEATURES
01. Map browsing
Zoom in and Zoom out can change the Map position as well as Tilt and Rotate the Map Viewing Angle. You can also change the view of the map with Air Gestures during navigation. It also provides information on 2D as well as 3D Viewing Mode and Real-time Traffic Conditions.
02. Map searching
The large database of POIs makes it easy to find locations on these Petal Maps. You can also use the Category Icon bar to find Recommend Places near your location.
03. Navigation
Real-time Traffic Data shows you the quickest way to avoid traffic jams and get to your destination. This map also allows you to quickly re-plan your route and re-estimate travel time.
04. Air gestures
Air Gestures allow you to switch between viewing modes while driving.
